Day 1: A Journey Through History to the Land of Three Rivers

  • 7:00 AM: Your private, air-conditioned van and driver will meet you at your hotel in Bangkok or at the airport, ready to begin your adventure west.

  • 10:30 AM: Board a historic local train at Kanchanaburi Station for a ride along the most scenic and dramatic section of the infamous Death Railway, crossing wooden viaducts with breathtaking views.

  • 11:40 AM: Your guide will welcome you at Tham Krasae Station. Walk along the cliffside track and absorb the incredible history of this very spot.

  • 12:30 PM: Journey to Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre. After a delicious local lunch (Meal 1), you'll walk the historic trail, tracing the footsteps of history and learning the powerful stories of this monumental undertaking.

  • 3:00 PM: Journey onwards to Sangkhlaburi, watching the landscape transform into lush, rolling mountains as we climb towards the borderlands.

  • 5:30 PM: Arrive and check into your charming riverside guesthouse, offering stunning views of the iconic Mon Bridge and the golden Bodhgaya stupa.

  • 7:00 PM: Enjoy a welcome dinner (Meal 2) at a local restaurant, savoring your first taste of the region's unique cuisine.

Day 2: Cultural Immersion & Natural Wonders

  • 6:00 AM: Glide across the misty morning waters by paddleboard (SUP) or long-tail boat, approaching the iconic Mon Bridge as the village awakens.

  • 7:00 AM: Immerse yourself in the local culture. You'll have the opportunity to adorn traditional Mon attire and join the serene morning ritual of giving alms to local monks.

  • 8:00 AM: Enjoy an authentic Mon-style breakfast (Meal 3) at a local eatery in the village, tasting flavors you won't find anywhere else.

  • 9:00 AM: Hop aboard a local saleng (motorcycle sidecar) for a unique tour through the Mon community. We'll visit the revered Wat Wang Wiwekaram and ascend a nearby hill to a giant Buddha statue for panoramic views.

  • 11:00 AM: From the golden Bodhgaya Chedi, we’ll take a private boat out onto the reservoir to discover the magical Sunken Temple—the remains of the original town’s temple, visible only when water levels are low.

  • 12:00 PM: Your boat will conveniently drop you off directly at your guesthouse pier.

  • 12:30 PM: Relax and enjoy lunch (Meal 4) with a view.

  • 2:00 PM: Choose Your Afternoon Experience:

    • Option 1: Nature Lover's Retreat: Journey to the stunning Takhian Thong Waterfall. Enjoy a refreshing swim, take beautiful photos, and practice "Forest Bathing"—mindfully connecting with nature to rejuvenate your spirit.

    • Option 2: Community Explorer's Walk: Visit the authentic Karen community of Baan Saneh Phong. Take a guided walk through their seasonal fruit orchards, learn about their unique culture and farming traditions, and perhaps taste fresh fruit from the tree.

  • 6:30 PM: Enjoy your final dinner in Sangkhlaburi (Meal 5) at a restaurant with spectacular evening views of the illuminated Mon Bridge.

  • 8:30 AM: Enjoy your last breakfast at the guesthouse (Meal 6).

  • 9:30 AM: Check out and begin the comfortable journey back towards Bangkok.

  • 12:30 PM: We will stop for a final delicious Thai lunch (Meal 7) at a popular restaurant in Kanchanaburi.

  • 5:00 - 6:00 PM: Arrive back in Bangkok, where your driver will drop you off at your hotel or the airport, filled with unforgettable memories.
